The American Dental Association (ADA) is an organization made up of over 163,000 dental professionals and strives to work with dentists to promote optimal oral health for everyone. Not only do they educate and equip dentists with what they need to make patients healthy but they also advocate for public health including fighting oral cancer and the opioid crisis.

The ADA was established in 1859 and is the world’s largest and oldest association for dental professionals. The organization provides many online resources including credentialing tools, a dentist directory, publications, and more. They also feature a site called MouthHealthy where users can learn about specific topics within oral health including dental implants.

On MouthHealthy.org, users can learn about oral health topics and issues concerning people of all ages and life stages. There are sections including Nutrition, which has tips and advice from dentists for proper oral health, and Dental Visit FAQ, which answers frequently asked questions about going to the dentist, including how to choose one and how much visits can cost.
